These Terms & Conditions govern use of Cache County Busted Mugshots. By browsing, using a site feature, or following a link, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site. The terms apply to this privately operated reference service and do not replace the rules of Cache County, Utah, the courts, or an outside provider reached through a link.

Cache County Busted Mugshots is privately owned and is not affiliated with Cache County, any sheriff, jail, corrections department, or government office. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides a service covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The site is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency, and its information may not be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.

Nature of the Service

Cache County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service. It does not host official government records, determine whether a person is in custody, release anyone, post bond, or submit a record request or court document for a visitor.

Content may point readers toward county, state, and court resources, as well as outside research tools. Requests for government material are controlled by the responsible agency and Utah's Government Records Access and Management Act, not by this site.

Acceptable Use

Visitors must use the service lawfully and responsibly. You agree not to:

  • Break a law while using the site or information reached through it.
  • Use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Make a hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or similar regulated decision from site content.
  • Attempt to access systems, accounts, or data without authorization.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or similar automated means to extract or burden the site.
  • Interfere with availability or another visitor's use of the service.

FCRA Use Is Prohibited

Cache County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not provide consumer reports, credit reports, or background reports, and neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a screening service. By using the site, you agree not to use information from it or an advertised tool for any purpose regulated by the FCRA, including:

  • A decision to hire, fire, promote, or retain a worker.
  • A tenant or housing-screening decision.
  • A creditworthiness decision or insurance-rate determination.
  • A licensing, permit, or government-program eligibility decision.
  • Any other purpose covered by the FCRA or a comparable rule.

Links and Outside Providers

The site may link to sheriff, jail, corrections, court, federal-locator, legal-information, and search-provider services. A link is supplied for convenience, not as an endorsement. We do not control an outside service's content, availability, results, privacy practices, or terms, and visitors should review those materials before using it.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that content will be complete, accurate, current, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.

  • County and state information can change without notice.
  • Links and online services can be unavailable or altered.

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing on this site is an official statement by the Cache County Sheriff's Office, Cache County Jail, the Utah Department of Corrections, or another government entity.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Cache County Busted Mugshots and its owners, contributors, and providers are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the site or an outside link.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cache County Busted Mugshots and its owners, contributors, and providers from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the site, violation of these terms, or violation of another person's rights.

Intellectual Property

The site's original text, graphics, logos, design elements, and code belong to Cache County Busted Mugshots or its content partners and are protected by applicable law. They may not be copied, distributed, altered, or used beyond lawful personal viewing without written permission from the rights holder.

Utah Law Controls

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with appropriate jurisdiction in Utah.

Severability

If a court finds any term invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms remain effective. The affected term will be adjusted only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable where possible.
